Our friend Maria (and my colleague from school) is from a country town called Arnprior. Her parents own a restaurant there and we were invited for lunch with them on the Victoria Day Monday public holiday. It’s about one a half hour’s drive from Ottawa and is a very picturesque little town. Very quiet when we were there, but after a HUGE lunch we rolled down to the river and lake to check it out. Dairy Queen on the way home and our trip was complete.
