June 12th - Glendive, MT

Today we left Walmart reasonably early and drove on to Glendive. We went looking for a specific RV park, but it was full of those semi-permanent building-style trailers (the size of a cosy cabin or a tad narrower and a tad longer) and full of scary looking locals (well, intimidating at least), so we thought we’d keep trying and head back there if we needed to. We tried a couple of hotels but they still wanted $80 a night – especially the two next to each other owned by the same guy. There were a couple of hotels we didn’t even bother trying – they looked a bit posh (even for nowhere Montana). But we did find a cool RV park right near them and this is where we stayed. Nice trees and fairly quiet. For the rest of the day we relaxed and plotted our next moves! Oh yeah and we watched this weird lady polish her car for about two hours. It was possibly the shiniest car I have EVER seen. I wanted to put a pizza under the windscreen wiper and let the birds have fun J.

There was a really funny guy who was looking after the park and he was originally from Georgia. He was very chatty and I sat out in the car for ages while Will sorted out the paperwork. He was quite jolly and even showed us his crazy spider bite in the middle of his chest (scared me quite a bit, but he said it was a pretty uncommon occurrence). It was a huge scar!

It was a very nice day for us to do some laundry, wash dishes and just generally tidy up Betsey. We were also able to swap some books which was good! More The Good Wife and then it was time for sleep.
